Concrete Anti-Freezing Admixture

Combines anti-freeze and early-strength components to depress the freezing point of the mix water and keep hydration going at sub-zero temperatures.

Overview

Anti-freeze admixtures depress the freezing point of the mix water and supply early-strength components so hydration continues at sub-zero temperatures, avoiding the strength loss and porous structure caused by early frost damage.

Key benefits

  • Three temperature grades (-5 / -10 / -15 °C) selected to match site conditions
  • Chloride-free type suitable for reinforced and prestressed concrete
  • Combined water-reducing and early-strength action shortens time to critical strength
  • Powder form simplifies transport and storage in cold regions

Application notes

An anti-freeze admixture does not replace curing protection. Use with heated mix water, pre-heated aggregates and insulating covers. Place at no less than 5 °C and allow the concrete to reach critical strength (typically 30% of design) before exposure to frost.

Typical uses

Winter cast-in-place concrete, high-altitude and high-latitude projects, cold-store structures, emergency repairs.
